Over the years I've developed a number of software applications, some of which are available to the public. I may add more in the future, but I started this section of the website in response to an increasing number of inquiries into one piece of software in particular:

Lineage: Pedigree Visualization and Analysis

I created Lineage in 2000-2001 with the help of Kevin Egan and other members of the "B22 Crew" which was more or less a team of young, talented, and happily naive programmers working in the animal breeding group at Cornell. Here is what we had to say about Lineage way back then:

Redefining the role of visualization in pedigree analysis. Lineage is the solution for visualizing and analyzing populations with pedigree data. By taking a new approach to the problem of handling vast amounts of pedigree data, the software allows users to manage and comprehend population and genetic information easily and thoroughly. Lineage is the most powerful and usable tool available to the industry for evaluating pedigree data.

Who knows about all of that now, but it must still have something going for it because I continue to receive inquiries and requests for Lineage to this day. So, while the software is no longer supported in any way (read: do NOT send me hundreds of emails because you're having trouble running it without admin privileges on your Windows Vista Home Edition PC), I am going to make it available on my website. Below are links to download the Lineage installation package and brief manual. Good luck!
